As we begin a New Year at Bethesda, we thank God for all blessings that he has bestowed upon us and realize
that with Him we can do all things and without Him we can do nothing. We count it a blessing to still have Reverend Raynard
Townsel as our Interim Pastor.
Our current enrollment for 2005 is twenty-nine (29). Recently, we lost 2 members. One of our members, Elder
Harry Carlos passed on January 1, 2005 and in March 2004, Mrs. Barbara Dyson Bridgeforth elected to move her membership to
worship with her husband at the Spring Hill Baptist Church in Blackstone, VA.
During the past year, the following activities were carried out at the church:
*Mother's Day Brunch was served by the Men of the church as they presented a rose
to each lady. This activity took placed on May 9, 2004.
*Father's Day Brunch was served to the Men of the church by the ladies on June 20,
2004.
*Turkey Shoot- The Men of the church sponsored their annual Turkey Shoot on October
2, 2004.
*Clothes Closet- Elders Laura Pollard and Zipporah Tucker were primary sponsors
of this activity. We had quite a turnout. We sponsored two activities where people came and picked up clothing for friends
and family.
*Christmas Dinner - our annual Christmas dinner was held on December 19, 2004. It
was hosted by Behesda Presbyterian Church and Zion Hill Presbyterian were our guests along with other members of the congregation
who attended.
